Pegylated Mechano Growth Factor (PEG-MGF)

IGF-derived peptide PEG-MGF is essential for recovery after strenuous exercise. Unlike traditional IGF-1, primarily associated with growth in children and anabolic functions in adults, PEG-MGF significantly enhances the repair of damaged muscle tissues.

Classification of both PEG-MGF and IGF-1 as polypeptide hormones distinguishes them from myoblasts, the precursors to muscle fibers. PEG-MGF facilitates both myoblast division and the maturation of muscle fibers, critical for adult muscle growth.

Reconstituted PEG-MGF must be kept at 4°C, shielded from light, for 10-14 days, and future use should remain below -18°C, avoiding freeze-thaw cycles.
